Dr. Behnam Majd
Dr. Behnam Majd was born in Tehran, Iran, and spent much of his childhood there before moving to the United States to pursue his education. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Diego County Dental Society.
What Does Dr. Majd Enjoy Most About Dentistry?
Since joining our practice in 2026, Dr. Majd has truly enjoyed becoming part of a team that values both excellent dentistry and genuine relationships with patients. What he enjoys most about dentistry is getting to know the person behind the smile—learning about each patient's life, family, background, and goals. He believes that taking the time to listen and understand each patient is an important part of providing thoughtful, personalized care.
What Guides Dr. Majd’s Approach to Dentistry?
Dr. Majd takes a comprehensive and patient-centered approach to dentistry, with an emphasis on long-term oral health. His philosophy is influenced by the Kois approach, which combines evidence-based dentistry, thorough diagnosis, risk assessment, prevention, and careful treatment planning. He is passionate about continuing his education and incorporating what he learns into his everyday care so that his patients can feel confident in their treatment and their long-term oral health.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Majd enjoys playing soccer, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. Most importantly, he enjoys time with his wife and daughter. At home, the family is also joined by their beloved mini poodle, Enzo. For Dr. Majd, family, relationships, and helping others are at the heart of what makes life meaningful—both inside and outside the office.
